You can probably tell we live for summer. While we lust over whether we’d rather vacate this winter for the Greek isles, Tulum or somewhere in French Polynesia it’s easy to forget that there’s a lot of reasons to enjoy winter here in Australia. Sure, it’s never that cold but we always find ourselves excited by the prospect of new boots, layering in faux fur, long mornings spent in coffee shops, or mulled wine (and the list goes on…). This week our newest style, Betina, landed at Shevoke and it had us thinking of how we’d be styling it. The light brown lenses, round shape and gold frames make for a seventies, bohemian look and yet their simplicity ensures versatility - we know we’ll be wearing them on days spent in the city, afternoons drinking Aperols by the water or winter festivals alike. We’ve pulled together five effortless styling options that pair back perfectly with the Betina's.

Neutral knits proliferated the market last winter and we still see bloggers and celebrities coveting cozy, over sided knits this year. Keep them neutral in palettes of tan, nudes, oatmeal and cream and textural whether it’s an exaggerated cable knit or super wooly look. The coppery brown tones of the Betina look incredible with this palette!

Pair your Betinas with a faux shearling coat and exaggerated textures for a seventies style.
This style also pairs back with classic shapes like our Hesters.

Whether it’s winter or summer, dainty gold pendant necklaces always look incredible layered over a good tan. We’re loving dreamy gold pieces by YCL Jewels or By Charlotte which will pick up the gold in the Betina frames and compliment the coppery brown glass.

Winter may be here but you needn't shy away from bold colour blocking or statement pieces like this incredible pin-stripe power suit. Work your bold outfit with a more subdued style, like our Betinas, or be a little more daring in a super-bright style like our Hendricks in yellow.

Don't forget to top it off with a winter hat when wearing the Betinas. We love the incredible range of boaters from Sarah J Curtis... so appropriate for a day on the water!
