Prescription FAQs
1. Select your frames
2. Select your lenses. We offer both single vision and progressive lenses, as well as a wide range of coatings and thicknesses.
3. Upload your prescription if you have it, or choose to send later if you don't - we will send you a reminder with a link to submit this.
4. If you have selected progressive lenses, you will be guided through the process of measuring your Pupil distance (PD). This is to ensure your eyes sit correctly behind your prescription lenses.
5. Once your order has been placed, your frames will be sent to our lens partner to be fitted.
You'll need a valid prescription. Simply upload your current prescription with a valid expiry date.
Don't have your prescription? No worries, you can choose to 'send later' and we will send a reminder email with a link to upload your script.
Your glasses will be delivered within 7-20 business days.
Once your order has been shipped, you will receive an email with tracking updates.
Dependant on your health fund and cover options, there may be a rebate available. Prescription Optical is covered by all major Australian private health funds and health insurance providers.
We do recommend checking with your health fund if you're unsure.
We will provide you with a receipt for your health fund with the required information needed in order to submit a claim. Most rebates are processed within 4-5 business days, however, this does depend on your individual health fund.
As prescription lenses are custom-made and classed as a medical item, we do not offer refunds, store credits, or exchanges for change of mind.
