11. United States Customers

There is no single federal privacy law in the United States. Privacy is governed by a growing number of state laws, with California having the most comprehensive framework applicable to ecommerce businesses.

California residents - CCPA and CPRA

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), including the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and share about you

  • Request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions

  • Request correction of inaccurate personal information

  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising

  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information

  • Non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

Opt out of sharing for advertising purposes

We share personal information with advertising platforms including Meta, Google, TikTok, and Pinterest for targeted advertising purposes. Under the CCPA, this may constitute "sharing" of personal information. California residents can opt out by:

  • Contacting us at info@shevoke.com with the subject line "California Privacy - Opt Out"

  • Managing cookie and tracking preferences through your browser settings

Other US states

A growing number of US states now have comprehensive privacy laws in effect. While the specific rights vary by state, we are committed to handling all requests from US residents in good faith. If you believe you have privacy rights under your state's law, please contact us at info@shevoke.com and we will respond within 45 days.

12. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes set out in this Policy, or as required by law. When personal information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it securely.

13. Complaints

If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, you can lodge a complaint by contacting us at info@shevoke.com. We will investigate and respond within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

EU and UK customers should refer to Section 10, and US customers to Section 11, for complaint options in their jurisdiction.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The current version will always be published on our website with the date it was last updated. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
